Leica launched the Leica R3 in 1976. It was the successor of theĀ LeicaflexĀ SL2, and was developed in cooperation withĀ Minolta, together with theĀ Minolta XEĀ bodies.
It was a 35mm SLR with aĀ CopalĀ CLS electronic focal plane shutter, which was produced for Leica and Minolta only.
